Teddy Nguyen (ILO)
De Anza College
Second-Year PacMUN StafferTeddy Nguyen is a second-year student at De Anza College, who was born and raised in San Jose, California. He will be serving as the Chair of one of the General Assemblies at PacMUN XV. Teddy has been engaged in MUN since his freshman year of High School, as well as participating as a delegate in PacMUN all 4 years (including one of the years it went online). He is more than thrilled to be given the opportunity to chair and give back to a conference that has given so much to him these past 4 years. Outside of MUN, Teddy spends much of his time with his local Catholic Church, playing piano for mass and participating in youth group. He also spends time teaching children piano and tutors math and English. Teddy also enjoys spending time with his loved ones, playing with LEGO, and working with kids.

David LeNoir (UNHCR)
University of Washington, Seattle
First-Year PacMUN StafferDavid LeNoir is a first-year student at the University of Washington Seattle, majoring in Political Science. He participated in Model UN beginning in his junior year and extending throughout his senior year, as the Head Delegate of his high school’s delegation. His all-time favorite committee was a Mount Olympus hybrid-spec where he played the role of Apollo, although he is typically more interested in the high-stakes policy debate of General Assembly or Security Council committees. Right now, he’s trying his best to acclimate to brisk, chilly Seattle autumns and winters, but in his free time, you can find him hunting for a tasty birria quesadilla or a new retro video gaming or comic shop. He is overwhelmingly excited to meet all of you delegates on conference weekend, and looks forward to some innovative and groundbreaking solutions, with some hopefully entertainingly chosen titles.

Keenan Yoshizawa (UNWTO)
Willamette University
Second-Year PacMUN StafferKeenan Yoshizawa is a fourth-year student at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, double-majoring in Politics, Policy, Law, and Ethics and History. Raised on the Windward Side of O‘ahu, Keenan attended Mililani High School. He has been a high school delegate at PacMUN for two years and a staffer for two years. This past spring, he was a study abroad student at the University of Galway in Ireland.

Madeline Ward (WHO)
McGill University
Third-Year PacMUN StafferMadeline Ward is a fourth-year student at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, studying Pharmacology and Therapeutics. She is a graduate of Little Flower Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she first became involved in Model UN, fostering a deep passion for debate. This is her third time staffing PacMUN.

Avril Amendola (YUSHIN)
University of California, Davis
Third-Year PacMUN StafferAvril Amendola is a fourth-year student at the University of California, Davis, majoring in International Relations and Environmental Policy. She has been a part of PacMUN since her freshman year of high school as both a delegate and a staffer. Avril has been a committee director for SCVMUN and PacMUN for multiple years, and she’s excited to return as a Chair for this year’s specialized historical crisis committee. Outside of MUN, Avril likes to travel, go to concerts, hang out at the beach, and stay updated on current events. Most importantly, she’s excited to share her experiences with all of you (delegates)!

Kaylan So (YUSHIN)

Second-Year PacMUN StafferKaylan So (she/they) is a University of California, Los Angeles alum with a degree in Political Science and Cognitive Science. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Kaylan first got involved in Model United Nations in high school and has since remained deeply engaged in the activity throughout college. She has participated as a delegate, Chair, and crisis staffer for several years. This year marks Kaylan’s second time staffing PacMUN (first being PacMUN XIV’s Samsung Board of Directors) and her ninth year participating in MUN overall.

Leila Carson (SCOTUS)
Fordham University at Rose Hill
First-Year PacMUN StafferLeila Carson is a first-year student at Fordham University, majoring in Political Science on the Pre-Law Track. She has participated in Model UN all throughout high school, taking on the role of president of her school’s club during her sophomore year. This will be her 5th year with PacMUN (1 as a delegate, 3 as a co-chair, and 1st year as a Chair!), and she is very excited to meet all of her delegates and see how they interact with the crises presented before them. Outside of MUN, you can find her binging whatever show is trending on TikTok, reading, or wandering around NYC trying to find the best matcha place. She looks forward to some engaging and dramatic debate as her delegates navigate the unique challenges that a court committee has to offer!

Lei Crowley (HAWAI'I)
San Diego State University
First-Year PacMUN StafferLeialii Crowley, or just Lei, is a first-year student at San Diego State University. She is majoring in Communication Studies. Lei has always loved MUN and served as a member of her high school’s MUN leadership team since her sophomore year. She has always loved the thrill of a great debate and is excited to be a member of the SDSU speech and debate team for the Fall semester. In her spare time, you will probably find Lei on the stage or in the water as she is an enthusiastic member of both her college surf team and musical theater club. She cannot wait to get to know new faces and say “hi!” to old ones as she returns to PacMUN for the first time as a Chair!

Pōmai Chang (HAWAI'I)
American University
Second-Year PacMUN StafferAndrew Pōmai Chang, or just Pōmai, is a second-year student at American University. He is pursuing a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government, with a minor in History. Pōmai has participated in Model UN since his time at Punahou School; this will be his fourth time attending PacMUN, and his second as a staffer. He is also a member of the prestigious American University Model UN Team and looks forward to bringing his expertise as a Crisis Director. In his free time, Pōmai also enjoys playing video games and keeping up with current events.

Tristan Huntley (JCC:EXPEDITION)

Second-Year PacMUN StafferTristan Huntley is a third-year Political Science student at UCLA. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he’s been involved in Model United Nations for the past 3 years, serving as both a crisis backroom staffer and a crisis dais staffer through UCLA, to a historical committee Chair for PacMUN. Outside the committee room, Tristan is passionate about political advocacy, hiking, and photography. When he’s not working at a conference or writing a background guide, you’ll probably find me exploring new restaurants, off-roading, or hanging out with friends in LA.

Raghav Kochar (JCC:EXPEDITION)

Second-Year PacMUN StafferRaghav Kochar is a sophomore at De Anza College, majoring in Chemistry. He aspires to pursue a future in medicine with a special interest in cardiology/cardiovascular health. Raghav was brought to MUN through his passion for youth involvement in worldly affairs alongside his burning desire to communicate (yap). Having been a delegate for the past three years at notable conferences like PacMUN, NHSMUN, RIMUN, and more, he became eager to serve as staff and aid in the creation of the very MUN environment that brought him so much joy. Raghav wishes Pōmaikaʻi a noho maluhia to all delegates!

First-Year PacMUN StafferEason Lu is a first-year student at Cornell University, majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Actuarial Science. He will be serving as one of the JCC chairs. He participated in Model UN throughout middle and high school. In his free time, Eason enjoys reading The New York Times’ opinions and writing letters to the editor. If he is not in front of his typewriter, you can find him on the radio waves with callsign W5EL talking to stations in Europe and Australia. Although he has participated in PacMUN for three years as a delegate, this will be his first time Chairing. He is very excited to see all the solutions proposed and meet all the delegates!

Mia Castro (JCC:SOVEREIGN)
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
First-Year PacMUN StafferMia Castro is a second-year student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, double-majoring in Biology and Political Science. She has a strong interest in environmental litigation and policy-making due to her upbringing on Oʻahu. Mia has participated in Model UN for most of her high school years, serving in administrative roles like event coordinator, vice president, and co-president in her time at Waipahu High School’s MUN. When she has free time in the week, you can often find her at the beach or trying new food places. She occasionally writes on the side and attends volunteer events around the island. This will be Mia’s 5th PacMUN (3 as a delegate, 1 as a volunteer staffer, and 1 as a Crisis Director). She hopes to help provide the best committee possible for this year’s JCC!

Adam Allibhoy (JCC)

First-Year PacMUN StafferAdam Allibhoy is a fourth-year student at the University of California, San Diego, majoring in Neurobiology. He has been involved in Model UN for 11 years, starting in middle school and continuing throughout college as a delegate, staffer, and general participant with school clubs and the International Model UN Association. He is a crisis delegate through and through, having staffed and debated in all sorts of committees from the Kamakura Shogunate to the Star Wars Imperial Security Bureau. Outside of Model UN, he loves playing video games, watching basketball/soccer, baking, and going to sleep just past sunrise.

First-Year PacMUN StafferOafe Cheung is a second-year student at the University of Toronto, double-majoring in Criminology & Sociolegal Studies. She is an avid crisis MUNer, with PacMUN being her first conference back in 10th grade, and has been involved ever since. She is excited to return to the conference’s vibrant community as a staffer. Outside of committee, you’ll find her napping (always), heavily invested in YouTube video essays, or going on spontaneous side quests. She’s excited to meet delegates and is looking forward to another entertaining and memorable iteration of PacMUN!

Third-Year PacMUN StafferConnor Davidson is a third-year student at the University of California, Los Angeles who was born and raised in Hawaiʻi Kai. He will be serving as the Crisis Director for the UNSC. Connor has been involved with both Model UN and PacMUN since his junior year of high school and hasn’t looked back since. This will be his fifth PacMUN and third as a Crisis Director. Outside of Model UN, he enjoys baking, running, writing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and spending time with his pet bunnies (expect to see photos throughout the conference).

First-Year PacMUN StafferElise Beal is majoring in Global Affairs and is very excited to staff for PacMUN this year. Throughout high school, Elise has participated in Model United Nations as both a delegate and a member of her school’s secretariat. Outside of Model United Nations, Elise enjoys combat sports, photography, and bird watching! Previously, she was a 2-year consecutive member of Team USA Karate (yes, like that one guy in Cobra Kai). Elise is thrilled to witness all of your crisis arcs in committee and see everyone this coming Fall.

Third-Year PacMUN StafferJB Araula is a recent graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He double-majored in Political Science and Filipino Arts, Language, and Culture. Currently, he is in the middle of his gap year, working full-time as an Office Manager for State Representative Greggor Ilagan of Puna. He has a burning passion for politics and policy, ignited by his years of experience in Model UN as both a delegate and a Chair. If he isn’t doing either, you’ll catch him playing video games or boogie-boarding Kauaʻi’s various shores.

Fourth-Year PacMUN StafferBenjamin Phipps is a graduate student from the University of California, Davis, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Rights and Anthropology. He participated in Model UN all throughout high school, also taking on various administrative roles within the club. In his free time, Benjamin is a musician with a beat tape called “Bad Therapy” released on SoundCloud under the name benjamino. This will be his 7th PacMUN (3 as a delegate and 4 as a Crisis Director), and he is very excited to meet all of you wonderful delegates this year!

Second-Year PacMUN StafferSophia Chen, or just Sophie, is a second-year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Physics with a minor in Education. She has been participating in Model UN since her freshman year of high school, and this will be her fifth time participating in PacMUN. Otherwise, Sophie loves to travel and visit UNESCO heritage sites, work at the REEF aquarium at UCSB, and watch horror game play-throughs (personal favorites being Still Wakes the Deep and Mouthwashing)!
