Committee Profile
The United Nations World Tourism Organization was founded in 1975 focusing on creating sustainable, responsible, and accessible tourism. The UNWTO has five strategic priorities: innovation and digital transformation, tourism education and capacity building, competitiveness, innovation, and investment. Delegates will be tasked with ensuring that our current world of globalized tourism is commensurate in relation to the environmental goals of the United Nations. Delegates must balance the economic benefits and environmental detriments to our increasingly globalized world due to the international tourism economy.

Second-Year PacMUN StafferKeenan Yoshizawa is a fourth-year student at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, double-majoring in Politics, Policy, Law, and Ethics and History. Raised on the Windward Side of O‘ahu, Keenan attended Mililani High School. He has been a high school delegate at PacMUN for two years and a staffer for two years. This past spring, he was a study abroad student at the University of Galway in Ireland.
